Today at four pm Seattle time, President Obama will give a speech—if you’re stuck at your computer, you’ll be able to watch it on PBS.org—outlining his new job-creation plan.
Republicans aren’t even going to bother to show up for the speech, because Republicans don’t care about jobs. But Slog does! Slog cares deeply about jobs. And that’s why we’ll be having a jobs speech live-Slog right here starting just before four pm. See you then.
This is gonna be the speech that marked the day Obama speeches began to be followed by bold, decisive political action. Everybody cross all the fingers and toes you got, now…

2.5 oz vodka
1 oz triple sec
1 oz squeezed fresh lemon or lime juice
2 tsp baker’s sugar (very fine granuals)
ice and shake
