Police were called to the parking lot of a strip mall on Rainier Avenue South on the afternoon of Sunday, November 6 to investigate an alleged knife assault that occurred after a battle over a parking space.
According to the police report, a man was waiting in his car at 1:25 p.m. for another car to exit a parking space on the 2700 block of Rainier Avenue South, where a strip mall most notable for its convenient Rite-Aid and Starbucks resides.
But when the car pulled out of the space, another man swooped in and stole the space before the patiently-waiting driver could pull in.
The man who had been waiting for the space confronted the parking thief (the police report doesn’t specify if he got out of the car for the confrontation or not), who reportedly responded, “Fuck you!” the police report states. So the first man yelled back, “Fuck you!” At which point, According to the first man, the parking thief “pulled out a knife” and he “feared he was going to be assaulted.” So he ran into the nearest store to call 911 and perhaps grab a pumpkin latte. The alleged knife-wielding-space-stealer reportedly followed the victim into the store, but reportedly fled both the store and the parking space when he saw that the other man was calling the police.
Upon arrival police failed to locate the suspect.

Bad headline-writing there. No “fight,” and “knives” means more than one. Sheesh.
@1 at least we know Marley was not to blame. To give Tim Keck another tax deduction they hired some headline-writing unpaid interns to help out the post-writing unpaid interns.
Here in north Seattle we threaten each other with lawyers. What’s wrong with these people?
From the story the alleged fight never happened with or without knives unless you consider yelling “Fuck You” a fight or a knife.
This event was merely a threat with a knife and little more than a verbal exchange.
I hope they fought to the sounds of MJ’s “Beat It.”
