Stickers guitarist Colin Dawson returns in his Daisy Heroin audio/visual guise for a subliminally spooky trip into the hidden corners of your subconscious—on some questionable magic mushrooms. This Daisy Heroin clip goes for subtly unnerving rather than over-the-top fright, and the Nurse With Wound-like shudders and moans—which Dawson also creates under his T handle—induce a creeping paranoia. You can catch Daisy Heroin’s mind-boggling first work, Art Show, as well as a new piece titled Tenet, on the big screen at Northwest Film Forum Friday, June 26. Dawson describes Tenet as “a psychedelic experience erupting from the womb of the digital void in a projection of light traversing from the conception of philosophy, to the manifestation of form. Like the kundalini rising in the spine, Tenet draws creative essence from the audience in its multisensory ocean of creation, and bursts surreality into the crumbling reality of limit. This story of love illuminates its proclamation that it ‘truly wants you to believe in magick.’” More info on this screening here.
