• Kanye West and Kim Kardashian have spawned again. Brace yourselves, Planet Earth. The news broke last night after the mid-season finale (apparently one finale per season is not enough) of Keeping Up with the Kardashians. In a teaser for the upcoming episode, the audience saw Kim announcing the news to her sister Khloé. Kim posted a picture from a recent photo shoot only an hour or so before the teaser aired, and she doesn’t appear to be showing yet. But we should all mentally prepare ourselves for more Balenciaga baby clothes and temper tantrums at Fashion Week. I am not even ready to speculate on what ridiculous name this child will receive.

• Enrique Iglesias was performing in Tijuana on Saturday night, when he grabbed onto a drone taking photos and sliced several of his fingers open. According to the Associated Press, Iglesias was rushed off the stage, but decided to continue the concert against the advice of medical practitioners. In a totally, not-at-all morbid move, the singer drew a heart on his shirt, in his own blood, to prove the dedication he has for his audience.

See? It’s not weird at all. After the show ended, Iglesias hopped on a plane to LA to go see a specialist and receive proper medical attention.

What’s your takeaway? Do not grab onto the drones that are being used at Magnuson Park no matter how tempted you are to smash those things to the ground. I REPEAT. DO NOT TOUCH THE DRONES. LEAVE THE DRONES ALONE.

• Over the weekend, Kendrick Lamar performed at the Salad Sweetlife Festival and decided to bring some fans up on stage to show off their rapping skills on “m.A.A.d City.” (He did this at Sasquatch! as well.) Although one woman was more than eager for her chance, Lamar forced the audience to sit through some chump who didn’t know a single lyric. Well, TURNS OUT. Pitchfork reported that this chump was none other than Jonathan Neman. Who is Neman? Oh, just the CEO of Sweetgreen—the company who sponsored the whole festival. Lamar ended up shuffling the clueless executive offstage executioner-style. Now, I talked a lot of shit about that Beets Don’t Kale My Vibe salad, but that’s one way to make me (pun intended) eat my words.

After that little incident, Lamar said, “For some reason, any time I bring a young lady up here, they always out-do the men that’ll come up here.” And, after five more minutes of dawdling, the original girl gets up there and what do you know? She kills it. (She might want to think about losing those Ariana Grande cat ears, though.)

• As I mentioned last week, a Toronto resident named Erica Shiner started a petition to ban rapper Action Bronson from the NXNE Festival. After gathering more than 37,000 signatures in three days, Shiner succeeded… in a way. According to The New York Times, NXNE caved into pressure from the community and agreed to ban Bronson from the main stage. They are, however, still hoping he will perform at the festival, and offered him space at a different, ticketed venue. Bronson will probably go as he’s not one to turn down a chance to eat poutine.

Happy Monday.
