The ninth annual Debacle Fest will happen May 13-14 at the acoustically rich Columbia City Theater, it was announced today. Always one of the most distinctive spectacles of the experimental-music year, Debacle Fest showcases an array of styles (noise, electronic, drone, ambient, avant-rock, performance art) by artists in the Pacific Northwest and California. The event is now headed by Hallie Sloan, with assistance from founder and Debacle/MOTOR Records owner Sam Melancon. On March 1, Debacle will announce the full lineup and offer more pre-sale tickets.
