Bad news for the #NeverTrump movement: Trump won Connecticut, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware and Rhode Island by crushing margins tonight. Says Alan Rappeport at the NYT: “One thing about Trump pulling 60 percent is that it would seem to render the anti-Trump alliance of Cruz and Kasich moot. If he is pulling big majorities, then collusion is relatively useless.”

And bad news—but not disastrous news—for the #BernieOrBust crowd: Hillary won Maryland, Delaware and Pennsylvania, and the overwhelming majority of Democratic delegates up for grabs tonight. Sanders won Rhode Island and Connecticut is currently too close to call. Hillary really could’ve used a sweep tonight—a sweep might’ve knocked Sanders out of the race (and given Tim Robbins an aneurism). But even if Sanders walks away with two state tonight… they’re small states and Clinton’s delegate lead is a lot wider now than it was this morning. Insurmountably wide. Oh, and…
