Whether the only thing you know how to make is reservations, or you simply don’t feel up to the daunting task of cooking dinner for a crowd, we’ve got you covered. We’ve compiled all the places serving Thanksgiving meals (like Tilth and RN74), plus Friendsgiving celebrations and other events leading up to and on the big day, with options for vegan/vegetarian meals, international flavors, great views, and more. And if you’re hosting this year (or just want to be an exemplary guest), take a look at our list of places to pick up food from. Note: We advise you to make your reservations as soon as possible, as many of these locations may already be fully booked and deadlines are fast approaching for pickup orders. Call ahead to make sure. For more Turkey Day options (including concerts and fun runs) check out our complete Thanksgiving calendar.
SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 17
The Whale Wins
For a Friendsgiving that’s a little different than your usual turkey dinner, chef Ash Stock will join forces with Annie Park (marketing manager of the Sea Creatures restaurant group) for a special pop-up that will explore the “live-fire cooking traditions of Korea,” using the Whale Wins’ wood-fired oven and outdoor grills. Expect peanut anju (drinking food), grilled gochujang marinated octopus with scallion salad, pork belly bo ssam, house-made kimchi, soju cocktails, and more.
