I saw this one while walking down E Olive, near the Rite Aid. Sometimes you just need to be reminded of the “Smooth”‘s existence. Weirdly, a couple of months ago my friend randomly posted this Rolling Stone oral history about the song—it’s a wild ride. Also I feel like this is the space for me to admit that I thought Rob Thomas and Ryan Tedder from OneRepublic were the exact same person for an embarrassingly long time, but I digress. Let’s listen again:
