Those of you who aren’t feeling quite bitter enough for The
Stranger‘s Valentine’s Bash might want to check out Dancing on the
Valentine III, a night of pre-1985 covers benefiting the Leukemia &
Lymphoma Society. The first two, which concentrated solely on the
oeuvre of Duran Duran, were a real hoot. As for the poster, it seems to
strongly reference the cover of Depeche Mode’s Violator, which,
having been released in 1990, is technically outside the scope of this
show. But that’s neither here nor there.
