This month’s Slog Happy is everything you’ve ever wanted in a Slog Happy:

*You asked for it to be up north, so we found a place up north.

*You said you wanted a place with food, so we found a place with food.

*You told us we should bring back trivia, so we’re bringing back trivia!

So join us next Thursday, October 9th, at College Inn Pub for the Best Slog Happy Ever*! The bar has a near-perfect standing in our restaurant reviews, thanks to their yummy chili, nachos, and sandwiches, and they’ll also be serving up $3 wells and $3 micros until 7 pm.

See you there!

*Maybe.

  1. Ha! Finally, a Slog Happy location close enough to my home that I can stumble home afterwards without the aid of a cab!

Oh by the way, I’m pre-emptively claiming Scary Tyler Moore for my trivia team. Had I the foresight to do so last time, I could’ve gone home with that awesome K-Fed wall clock.

  2. The first Slog Happy Trivia made me fear the awesomeness of other’s ability to regurgitate months old facts from a local alt. weekly blog. Is there a corner where I can hide and rock back and forth while muttering about pit bulls and plastic bags?

  3. Oh thank fuck, a place with actual food! After having walking to Starbucks to buy breakfast sandwiches with Original Monique and Abby from the Hideout, I was a sad panda. Available food= I stay longer.

  4. Lara and I are going to be there. We lay claim to Poe and his infinite recess of information pretaining to the genital girth of celebrities.

  5. The Best Slog Happy Ever was when I met Aislinn, obviously.

#7, best Slog clique meet-up ever. I will never think of [name redacted] the same way again.

  6. Sorry gang, will miss you-all once again, as I’m still in rehearsal.

But votes for future SLOG Happys at CI, since it’s only a few blocks off my normal commute anyway.

  7. Oh yeah! The College Inn Pub rules. Though it should be mentioned, do NOT drink the Baron Hefeweizen.

Who wants to be on my trivia team?

  8. Mikki, you have to go, I want to talk football smack with you. (Have you seen the cake pan shaped like a stadium?)

Umvue, I’ve missed your relevent statistical analyses so please come back to Slog.

Greg, what’s the application process like for your team?

  9. Greg, both. Plus you are funny.

Pop Tart, I have seen that cake pan! Also, wtf, there hasn’t been a football post and my team finally won a game. I might go. BA has things to do that evening, but I will consider it. I do love football smack talk and cocktails.

  10. Food? Is it a restaurant restaurant? If it is I’m bringing my fucking baby and if you don’t like it I’ll be sure and pass your complaints on to the US Department Of How Much We Give A Shit About Childless, Broke Twentysomethings Who Never Vote.

  11. I will make the attempt, as it may be my last chance for the year. And I kick ass at trivia.

In fact, Scary and I will lay the smackdown on any other team.

  12. I’ve put the word out to The Important Slog People that I’m willing to bring nerd things if we have a TV or two to overtake. Maybe… possibly… Rock Band 2?

  13. I know Mikki, Jonah has seriously let us down the last few weeks with the football posts.

@26 Hahahahaha, good one. Wait, my ff team sucks too. Never mind.

Greg, in preparation should I take myself off to Arizona to have a bunch of uptight old men in suits cram my brain so full of information that I am no longer capable of saying the final consonant in words and I begin winking inexplicably and talking like a bad actor from North Dakota?

  14. I’m with Levislade on this. Plus, I can walk to the bus and not have to drive after having a few drinks.

    Woo Hoo!

And since Greg has taken my place, I’ll join his team. But only if Pop Tart wears deely boppers …
