I truly hope that, as part of the change they bring to the White House (and America), they adopt a puppy from a shelter.
@2, they have promised to adopt from a shelter or rescue. Yay!!!!! Not only an Obama victory, but a shelter pet in the White House.
Now that is the coolest thing ever! Such a great way to set an example for people everywhere!
@2, he has already agreed to adopt from a shelter thanks to a letter from ingrid newkirk of PETA and a petition.
Indeed, it will be a shelter puppy. The organization I work for, Best Friends Animal Society, collected 50,000 signatures and delivered the petition asking the Obamas to adopt should they win. I’d like to think we had something to do with their choice.
