I’m sure Frizzelle and Eli will have many, many more words on this, but here’s my reaction: That was EXACTLY the speech it needed to be.

And Lowery’s speech kicked Warren’s speech’s ass.

  1. The CNN punditry was talking about how the speech highlighted a break from the previous administration in a way that goes against historical tradition. In other words, the incoming president doesn’t usually trash the practices of the outgoing president quite so bluntly. But… the speech was just what I wanted to hear.

  2. There it is – the caption for this whole day: “Hang on America. We’re going to stop fucking it all up.” Beautimous.

    That will probably be the last thing I remember from today, cuz I’m about to sit down and get major-league drunk.

  3. Totally agree on both points.

    The first preacher guy should have stopped half way in – it would have been more historic but he just couldn’t leave well enough alone.

    The second preacher guy NAILED it!

    And WOW for the Pres speech!

  4. do you guys not get it.. ain’t no “preacher guy” he is the co founder of the southern Christian leadership.. King’s civil rights group, THE beginning! show some respect..
