  1. Snopes says it’s actually Washington’s Birthday. They never really renamed it President’s Day; they only got as far as moving it to the third Monday in February. I’m not saying Dina Martinia should change the song.

  2. I am so excited to see the new Dina best of show! So glad I don’t have to wait until Christmas to see her dazzle! woo. Happy Prez Day! Off the Charts!

  3. I’ve always been sort of upset that schools give a day off for Martin Luther King, jr. day, but not for president’s day… don’t get me wrong, MLK was one of the greatest civil rights leaders ever, but if it weren’t for President Lincoln, there probably wouldn’t even BE a MLK day.

  4. The best – and perhaps only – song created for this holiday. Does anyone have the link to the video, which itself is a real treat?!

I wonder: When the Dina Martina biopic gets production funding, could Philip Seymour Hoffman pull off the role of Dina, or would he be miscast in that role?

  5. @4: Kids aren’t off of school!? When I was in school (not ALL that long ago) we got a whole week off for Presidents’ Day.

In fact, I just looked up my high school. They’re off all week. What schools are in session today?

  6. 1)Only Dina should be allowed to play Dina in a biopic…or maybe Faye Dunaway.

2)Looking at a picture of Dina Martina ALWAYS makes me happy, at least for a moment.

Hmmm… ok, I just checked my old high school and they’re off today, so my bad, although it’s listed as a parent/teacher conference, not president’s day. whatever.
However, my college alma mater and the one I’m working at now aren’t off (but they’re both off on MLK day).
