I don’t know if this is a sign, but I just noticed that the globe on the P-I building stopped spinning.

I’ve got a great view from my office building, and the globe has indeed stopped spinning.
Wasn’t this in Foucault’s Pendulum?
Oops, forgot to sign it, that was me.
True
Are they attempting to stop time?
It’s not spinning, but it stops all the time, even before everyone knew the paper was doomed. They do maintenance on it and stuff. At one point in late 2008, it stopped spinning for a few weeks.
This is HUGE! And I bet they didn’t even consult the staff about it! Hope we’ll have more posts about it and can read more about it in this week’s Stranger!
@5 No, they’re trying to make it spin backwards so Hearst won’t sell the PI and the staff can keep their jobs.
I thought this was the first sign of the Apocalypse.
Next it will rain.
Too late, the rain has arrived.
Yeah, but it’s been doing that off and on for a couple weeks now.
Please stop posting about the PI.
This is getting ridiculous. You are making a fool of yourself.
The globe stops all the time.
Has anyone called in an experienced Spin Doctor?
It will all be explained in next week’s episode of Lost…(there’s a Dharma Station under the P.I.)
but, on a serious note, a P.I. staffer told me that the globe is in baaaaaaad shape…it’s old and rusty and some staff speculate it might not be salvagable…
It is still spinning.
Seattle, however, has started spinning on a parallel track.

The hell with the paper, the Globe must be saved. Will it wind up at the Museum of History and Industry next to the Rainier Beer ‘R’?
@14: You just won a place in my heart, motherfucker.
(strangeways’ eyebrows are raised at matt fuckin’ hickey’s declaration)
awwwww….
Unless we steal it first, @17.
Fremont Rules!
As everyone’s said, the globe stops all the time, for no apparent reason. I can see the roof from my office, and there are dudes over there working on stuff all the time. It’s back in business, all lit up, now.
