Seattle Police have arrested yet another teenager for his alleged involvement in a gang-related shooting.

At about 5:30pm last night, SPD detectives arrested a 16-year-old boy in connection with a shooting in the 5600 Block of S. Avon Street near Rainier View Elementary on Monday.

Police recovered a handgun during the arrest and impounded the 16-year-old’s vehicle. He was booked into the Youth Service Center for assault.

  1. I hate to say this, but that location isn’t Rainier Valley, either. Call it Rainier View (that’s the name on the Seattle city neighborhood map).

Seriously, that is up on a ridge, not in the valley (and not on Beacon Hill, either).

  2. UM so what’s the deal stranger, was he 15 or 16?

I mean, I understand that the stranger doesn’t posses the strictest adherence to the AP style, but maybe just have the headline info match the story.
