A man takes his taupe Honda on a joyride through SoDo, smashing into everything in sight. From the Seattle Times, which includes this snapshot of the escapade:

The man then drove on to Sixth Avenue South at South Lander Street, where he encountered a Metro van. According to Kay Reeder, who worked nearby, he hit the van, backed up and struck it again.

Reeder said it appeared intentional. “He drove off yelling, ‘Woo hoo!,'” she said, adding that he also thrust his middle finger in the air.

The rest of the story, which begins at Home Depot and ends with the car on fire, is here.

  1. ah feelz reel gud bout mah reel gud fraydum and libbuhtee
I have never understood how some can find joy in striking pedestrians and innocent bystanders.

  2. I was down by there yesterday, and saw the troopers. I thought they were just there hassling the day workers.

Later, when I was trying to get back to my office, I saw how they had sixth blocked off. It was still blocked off when I got off work. What a mess.

  3. You certianly couldn’t expect an American made car to last that long.

BTW, why does it matter that it was taupe? Are we to think if the Honda was blue this never would have happened?

  4. @20 – obviously you don’t live anywhere near or in a mexican-majority neighborhood like I do. They say (actually shout) “woo hoo” all the time. They also get super drunk and drive like shit and and have lots of car wrecks and run over people on the sidewalk pretty often too.

By the “headline” I really meant the headline in the P-I that described his actions, not the Stranger’s “woo hoo” headline. Just wanted to clear that up! Celebrate divershitty!
