From an King County health department email:

Today, the King County Medical Examiner’s Office reported the first death in King County associated with the recent heat wave. The decedent, a man in his 60s from Seattle, had heart disease with heat as a contributing factor to his cause of death.

  1. “From an King County health department email”

I think it was a King County health department email.

    Unless it was historical.

  2. Also, I believe it is actually the King County Department of Public Health (note the caps in the appropriate locations).

Also: historical, or historic, or both?

  3. Heat waves are among the more deadly natural disasters. But a tornado that kills two people in a trailer usually gets less attention than a heat wave that kills 10 people.

    People suck at risk assessment.
