The Senate Finance Committee’s has begun its mark-up of the Baucus Bill for health insurance reform. (Process junkies can watch the live video here.)
Earlier this morning, Senator Maria Cantwell made some opening remarks about the decisions now before the committee—of which she’s a junior member. Check Slog later for the video, and stay tuned: we may know which way Cantwell is voting on the Baucus Bill by the end of this week.

Just for a start, if everyone without insurance – and that means none of you whiners on Medicare or Medicaid, you socialized medicine people – sent a postcard to their US senator and US congressperson, maybe, just maybe, the HUNDREDS of MILLIONS in bribes the Big Pharma and Big Insurance firms were giving to them and to the Birthers wouldn’t matter.
But if you can’t get off your duff to send a postcard – then you deserve what you’ll get.
Which is nothing. At twice the price.
Speaking of health care reform…
