  1. The yellow difference is mostly new paint without any outdoor dirt vs. weathered paint with outdoor dirt. That’ll match more closely after a month or two of exposure. It’ll be interesting to compare lit old sign vs. lit new sign – LEDs will have different characteristics to the old-style incandescent bulbs, both when on and when off, but that would’ve been true even if they’d been able to retrofit the original sign.

    So far it looks like they did a really nice job.

Not that I’m complaining (honestly it looks like a great reproduction) but I did notice that the lettering and line thickness on the edges of the sign are slightly thicker in the new version, resulting in different letter spacing. (Look at the placement of the “N” compared to the outside trim on both signs.)

    Again, not complaining- purely nitpicking because you asked.
