Yay for the Hurt Locker and Kathryn Bigelow!
Ah, Jane Lynch for best supporting actress in a comedy.
“I, for one, think intimacy has no place in a marriage. Walked in on my parents once and it was like seeing two walruses wrestling.”
Winners:
BEST DRAMA: Who cares.
BEST DIRECTOR: Who cares.
BEST ACTRESS DRAMA: Who cares.
BEST ACTOR DRAMA: Colin Firth
BEST COMEDY: Who cares.
It would certainly be interesting to see Kathryn Bigelow beat out James Cameron for a Globe.
So is it traditionally the case that animated features don’t get nominated for anything outside their own category?
Nothing for Hump?
How the Cohen brothers “A Serious Man” is not up for best picture is beyond me. Oh wait, I forgot. Award shows fucking suck! I lost all respect for award shows when “Crash” won best picture.
PRECIOUS is nominated for Best Drama but Lee Daniels is *not* nominated for Best Director. INVICTUS is not nominated for Best Drama but Clint Eastwood *is* nominated for Best Director. That is going to cause a stink. And rightfully so.
BEST MOTION PICTURE, COMEDY OR MUSICAL—that is a rough list. Ugh.
@ 10. True that, and same for many of the others. Apparently the Hollywood Foreign Press Association saw something in Sandra Bullock that many of us missed. I’m disappointed Sam Rockwell wasn’t recognized for Moon, and there may have been a long, slow sigh coming from the Michael Mann household.
@11,
Mann just needs to keep trying. Public Enemies was not that good.
WTF! Nothing from Battlestar Galactica?
I’m pissed that All About Steve was completely ignored. It was miles better than Julie’s half of Julie and Julia, and Sandra Bullock was far less annoying in All About Steve than the stuck up bitch, Julie.
@13: History repeats itself–viz Twilight Zone, Star Trek, Serenity, etc. etc. Sci Fi gets no respect.
One hunnert Nat-see scalps!
Is anyone else disappointed Up wasn’t nominated for best picture?
