Eli Sanders is on vacation, and asked me to sub for him as the host of our weekly podcast, Blabbermouth, this week, which I am always very happy to do. On Thursday morning, I was all prepared, and actually headed into the Stranger‘s in-house podcasting studio when I got the news that Prince was dead.

I tried to imagine talking about it, but it seemed ghoulish. It was simply too fresh. It was still happening. (It’s still happening now, too, and will continue to still happen for a long time, I bet.) But the thought of talking about anything else just seemed preposterous.

So I recorded a short statement about it. which includes the suggestion that during the time you might have spent listening to us blabber, you go and listen to some Prince music instead. I stand by this recommendation. See you at the Wrecka Stow.

Blabbermouth will return next week. Never fear. Thanks for understanding.
