Folks that like to use Rome as a reason why we should keep gays in the closet really should be forced to go back to school and not allowed to ditch their history classes...but then again, these people live in a state of forced stupidity. Ignorance is curable. An ignorant person can be educated. But someone who is truly stupid, whether by physical reasons or because they refuse to learn the facts and stick to falsehoods that are spoon fed to them by their masters, is incapable of learning, no matter how many times they are educated with the facts of the matter. If their masters were to tell them that the sky was paisley, no amount of empirical evidence would convince them that the sky was blue (or any other color for that matter). It's a real shame too. America went from being one of the smartest nations in the world to trodding down the path that puts us in a lower ranking than 3rd world nations.

"Legalizing gay marriage will hurt straight women", because men will enjoy sex with other men, if there is no social censure???? What a non-sense! Homosexual relationships will encourage people to be gay, in the same way that living around tall people makes you tall. And I can hardly believe that legalizing same-sex marriage will encourage people to some kinds of crazy behavior ( like marring their pets, etc...).
In the case I'm wrong, I'll by a vibrator...not too bad.

I do believe that same-sex marriage can offend religious rights, but not women's interests or dignity at all. I'm straight and it would never be offensive for me that some women love other women and some men love other men, moreover it isn't a reason for making homosexuality illegal.
