The thing I love most about this video is that moment (it lasts for five seconds) between the cop noticing something strange in the distant shadows and that something becoming visible to the camera. His body language completely changes from an enforcer of the laws of society to a human animal in the wild, a human in danger, a man made of esculent meat. He leaps into the backseat.

They didn’t look like they were after him but that still would have scared me.
Boy, these “Twilight” promotions are really getting out of hand.. ;p
@2 Ha!
This was on boing boing days ago and they were trying to figure out if it is fake. Last I checked they were leaning towards the “fake” angle.
Nothing like a lack of context to make Charles seem like he has a point.
Happy Monday.
That cop was lucky. It could have been the Bear Cavalry.
@5 wins the Internet.
Now you know what itโs like being respectable and having an iPhone on the #48 bus down in the Valley after dark.
It is fake. Proof is comparing it

This is ostensibly a video of the same incident shot from inside the car. In the CCTV video, the driver does not hand the cop his papers. In the inside the car take, he does hand over his papers, and the “wolves” make a silly growling noise as they run.
Also, in the CCTV version, the cops’s backup turns on his flashers when he warns of the coming wolves. In the inside the car version he doesn’t.
Another possibility is that this happens to these cops all the time at that particular location, in which case it is unremarkable.
I’ll bet they were really sheep in wolves clothing.
There’s got to be a way to blame Obama for this.
Thanks for showing me a new word, Charles.
But, can the Bear Cavalry take on THIS Dynamic Duo?
@9, but why make a fake video of this? i must be missing something.
@13 – To entertain and amuse.
@13 – To entertain and amuse.
If the wolves were fake, why did the cop jump in the car?
@16
The whole video is fake. You can tell a man to jump in a car. It’s hard to get a bunch of wolves to do anything you want.
My impression – possibly totally incorrect – is that European wolves are indeed far more dangerous to humans than North American wolves.
Regardless of whether or not it is fake the only thing that came to mind is to remind Charles that we are animals at all times. Regardless of our feelings of transcendence of basic instincts in a cosmopolitan society we still follow our basic instincts of survival and reproduction daily. The only difference is we are scared of losing our jobs instead of scared of wolves, the difference is the same.
@6 the combination of cutesy hyperbole and cutesy bad internet grammar is stupid as shit. stop it.
moonlanding was also fake. 911 truth!
