TONIGHT

As I noted earlier, Clay Jenkinson! Awesome historical impersonator! It takes some balls to sincerely pretend to be J. Robert Oppenheimer, the outspokenly left-wing "father of the atom bomb." But Jenkinson really knows his shit, and is super entertaining. History freaks should love this. (Town Hall Seattle, 1119 Eighth Avenue, Seneca Street Entrance, 7 p.m. - 8:30 p.m., free).

SATURDAY

Belltown, traditionally the domain of slick yuppies, will be made generally more appealing for an afternoon. On Saturday, the biannual Punk Rock flea market will open, with over 50 different vendors offering punk rock fiddles, punk rock Playboy mags, punk rock cookies, and other suitably punk rock second-hand items (2407 1st Ave, 12 p.m. - 10 p.m., $1).

Nearby at the Seattle Center, the Urban Craft Uprising—the city's best homemade craft fair—is also happening. More than 100 regional and national vendors will compete with the already enormous amount of local talent to sell their handiwork. (Exhibition Hall, 305 Harrison Street, 11 a.m. - 5 p.m., Saturday and Sunday, free).

SUNDAY

Another sale! This one’s an annual holiday sale at the Sakya Monastery of Tibetan Buddhism, an adorable, squat old former church. Here, you can buy incense (or charms, sexy Buddhist clothes, art prints, statues, other sweet shit) with your friends and then can go home, lay out your vintage Playboy mags, and have an punk rock/Vajrayana buddhist orgy while you eat cookies and play the fiddle. Voila! All senses gratified. (108 NW 83rd Street, 11 a.m. - 4 p.m., free).
