@ 2- I agree Colbert's special comment was one for the ages. Usually I don't say this, but it totally blew JS's Palin segment out of the water.

True, Colbert's bit was funnier and sharper about Palin, but that last few seconds of the Stewart clip brought tears to my eyes.
