I just finished The Way of All Flesh, a semi-autobiographical novel by Samuel Butler, written in the Victorian Era but published in 1902. It has mentions of homosexual and bisexual Evangelical preachers too - one, after leaving the church, tries marriage with an alcoholic woman but "gets out of jail free" when he learns his marriage is not legally binding: he leaves the offspring to be raised by a couple and goes off to Europe with his godfather, the "inveterate bachelor"/narrator. Nothing really changes. I read Trollope's The Way We Live Now the year before and it's almost a foreshadowing of our more recent housing bubble froth.
It astonishes me that Haggard believes that since he was caught with just-one-guy, then that means he can pass off the idea that it was his one and only trick with a dude. Well it's never just-one-guy. I'll bet there were hundreds of just-one-guys out there that he did the ol' slap-N-tickle with, but he didn't get caught with them so they never happened. He must think that christians are incredibly stupid to believe this newest lie.
A masturbation guy? You mean a wanker? "I only used it to whack off" is ten times worse than "I didn't inhale." I am trying to picture how he did this and my only conclusion is that he filled a turkey baster up with meth and water and stuck it up his ass.
Society is partly to blame for creating these kind of God/identity problems in people....but then again, Haggard is a grown-ass man. At some point you have to resolve conflicts on your own terms and reboot your life.
what's the difference between using meth for masturbation, and using meth and then masturbating?
Finally, he's admitting that he's bi. Oh, wait, no he's not. He's not admitting that because he's not 21.
I SOOO surprised that he's Bi...........
I think we have a new "Santorum" on our hands - in which case, I'm going to go wash mine continuously for about half an hour...
is it me or does the son that's complaining, give off gay vibes?
Can this story get funnier? Everytime I think it can't, I'm pleasantly proved otherwise!
