It looks like a bill legalize same-sex marriage in Maryland—or a bill to end anti-gay discrimination in marriage—is going to fall short by a single vote in Maryland's House of Representatives. Sam Arora is a newly elected member of Maryland's House, he promised during his campaign that he would support the bill, he took money from gay rights groups, he even co-sponsored the legislation legalizing same-sex marriage in Maryland. And now he's announced that—surprise!—he's voting against the bill, his own bill, because he's "born again."
