LOL "Dad, I love you. I've always craved your approval, but you don't move as fast as you used to. You know it and I know it."
3
This is THE BEST thing I've read in a long time.
4
I love it!!

That's great. When I came out I made such a drama leading up to it my mom was terrified I was going to confess to some act of hooliganism. Her worst fear was that as a man I'd grow up to be violent, and she said the buildup to my "confession" was quite the most menacing I'd ever seemed.

Funny! I knew a guy in the 80's who started taking martial arts as soon as he realized he was gay- early teens. He said he figured he was going to need to be able to defend himself during his life. He did not specifically mention his parents, but....

Sounds a little roid rage-y to me...
8
Fun idea. Yes, a little roid rage-y, though, and about twice as long as it should be.

This one made Literally Unbelieveable:

Haha, I really enjoyed that. I wish I could do it that way.
11
I thought we all read that a week ago when it came out.

My favorite coming out letter idea of all time (for the comer outers father): A simple card, the front reads "guess who's gay?" and on the inside "YOUR ONLY SON"
13
It was a bit too long. Would have worked better if he'd tightened it up a bit and then thrown in some gratuitous "if you ever want to see the grandchildren Tony and I plan on having…" just to twist the knife.

@11 -- Some of us didn't, so we're glad Dan posted it.

15
Come on, Dan. This is your own coming out letter, isn't it?
16
Dude, I totally know this guy!
17
Like all Onion articles, you just read the headline; then imagine it repeating the same joke for twelve column inches. Saves time.
18
Sounds like a few people don't understand that it's an entirely satirical magazine. Though, if real, it would be a hilarious coming out letter.
