BP last week was awarded its first drilling permit since last year’s Deepwater Horizon catastrophe that eventually leaked an estimated 4.9 million barrels of crude into the Gulf of Mexico. The permit allows for drilling in the Kaskida prospect, a huge area nearly 250 miles south of Lafayette, La. It will be in 6,000 feet of water—deeper than the ill-fated Macondo well whose blowout triggered last year’s spill.

So what’s your point?
My point is that you’re an idiot.
The drilling isn’t the problem. The problem is that they’re cutting corners and taking risks in order to save money.
Needs more Black Keys.
Well BP was Obama’s biggest campaign donor so this is what you would expect, right?
Biggest & best
One only needs to look at Grant’s avatar to determine who the biggest idiot is.
Next?
@7: By that token, you’re a psychotic nutjob.
And mighty Goddamned proud of it too, Wendy.
BTW, I actually have room 217 at the Stanley Hotel booked for this Monday night. Stay tuned, things could get v-e-r-y interesting.
Remember kiddies …. It was the Obama Administration that awarded that contractor drill. CHANGE YOU CAN BELIEVE IN!!!!!!
@10: Is 217 the room the pig was giving the blow job?
Absolutely. I’m impressed that you knew that.
DRILL BABY DRILL!!
the president doesn’t get to change everything.
no matter who’s in office, american industry moves forward with the same government facilitation it has always had, from supplying the planet with weapons of mass destruction to raping the national forests to lopping off the tops of mountains to pouring psychoactive chemicals into streams rivers and oceans. our politicians and captains of industry have no idea what to do except what’s already working. look what it took to stop the free supply of labor that made our cotton so competitive.
the pillaging of the earth equals jerbs. you want a jerb, don’t you?
