Also at Mount Baker, Seatac, and probably all the other stations. They went up a few weeks ago.

Hey, Portland's trying to drain our state and city treasuries of the regressive sales tax money that for better or worse we rely on to provide services!

Those artisanally bedecked bastards.
3
Give them the business.
4
They are also on some of the Ferries

It's a pretty busy image, so I can't tell for certain at this resolution, but - did they put a bird on it?
6
If they get an NHL franchise, they'll get much more business, from me at least:).

Mwahahahaha!

It's unlawful to buy merchandise in Portland and bring it back to WA without paying "use" tax on it (use taxes are equivalent to sales taxes, but not levied at the point of sale obviously).

These posters, installed on public agency property, are inviting and supporting unlawful behavior. I'm surprised that Sound Transit would approve their installation.

Good Afternoon Charles,
That's a pretty cool promo poster. I like the art and that it is placed inside a Seattle transit station. Maybe Seattle has a promo poster in one of Portland's light rail transit stations?

Nice touch.

When Oregon passes marriage equality I'll spend money in Portland.

They're in Vancouver (BC) too! I saw one on a bus.

There was an episode of Portlandia that was based on this topic. Unfortunately they couldn't get the names of Seattle neighborhoods right.

@11, 13: We have a ballot initiative coming. Should be on our next ballot. I signed the petition, for one.
16
They're giving away free smugs.

@10: In fact, several MAX light rail trains in Portland are wrapped with ads for a two-day sojourn to Seattle. I'm surprised Mudede hasn't commented on the need of the collapsing decadent neoliberal system to fuel dislocation anxiety among its proximate residents.

Isn't Sound Transit funded by sales taxes? Very weird.

Please wait...
