This is Avout, owner of Shorty's. We would like to express our heartfelt thanks to everyone for their support today as this story came out. First of all, we are not going anywhere anytime soon, as we still have quite some time on our lease. In the meantime, anyone who cares about the future of this block, and can speak about how this block is a significant part of our city's cultural heritage, should attend the landmark preservation board meeting tomorrow, Wednesday, at 3:30 pm at the Seattle Municipal Building.
