On reflection, yes, I really am the fucking WORST.

I happen to think every day is a good day to despise, revile, and scorn the name of Ronald Reagan but ESPECIALLY World AIDS Day. Smarter people than I have and will continue to elucidate the poisonous legacy of the man whose presidency hastened the irrevocable beginning of unquestionable end, but When AIDS Was Funny, an audio-and-still-photos documentary, published today by Vanity Fair (sorry, no embed), is an excellent snapshot of the culture of know-nothing, mock-the-weak, hate-bubbling-just-below-the-surface that surrounded his administration like a mist that spread to envelop America like a fog we still can’t see through.

Fuck you forever, Ronald Reagan, and fuck everyone who ever carried your water.

P.S. When you’re done watching this, please consider heeding Jen Graves’s advice from yesterday, and zip on down to Tacoma Art Museum to see the Art. AIDS. America. show. If you leave now, you might beat the traffic.
