The Habit 14 @ Bathhouse Theater
For many of us, indulging in the latest smart/silly sketch comedy from the five gentlemen of the HabitโJohn Osebold, David Swidler, Ryan Dobosh, Luke Thayer, Mark Siano, and sometimes othersโhas become an autumnal tradition. This year, expect werewolves at the DMV, a sheriff who literally doesnโt know the meaning of the word quit, and some pointy-headed protesters: โWhat do we want? Physics! When do we want it? Time is just a construct!โ BRENDAN KILEY

Taj Mahal Trio @ Jazz Alley
We can sit here all day and talk about what an institution Taj Mahal is, be it the piรจce de rรฉsistance of Indian architecture or the icon of American blues. But we donโt have all day, and this isnโt an architecture column, so letโs just talk about the song โQueen Bee,โ written by the latter. Possibly the loveliest, breeziest, and flat-out prettiest love song in his whole oeuvre, โQueen Beeโ encapsulates everything wonderful about Taj Mahal: his matter-of-fact lyricism, his unaffectedly nostalgic guitar work, and his rich, amber-hued voice. If youโve never heard this song before, I am confident in saying you havenโt lived a full life. I have no idea if he still performs it live (it first emerged on an album from 1997), but for โQueen Bee,โ I will always save a place on Heavenโs Best Mixtape for Taj Mahal. (Taj Mahal Trio play Jazz Alley through November 30.) KYLE FLECK

Lil Debbie @ Crocodile
Lil Debbie is the queen of shit talking. The sassy rapper (not the line of sugary snack cakes) first showed up in the music world in Kreayshawnโs 2011 video for โGucci Gucci,โ where she appeared beside the fellow White Girl Mob rapper wearing a shirt that said โSmokinโ Super Chronicโ while Kreayshawn sang about basic bitches. After a fallout with the group of Oakland lady rappers, Lil Debbie launched her own career, teaming up with RiFF RaFF for a few over-the-top videos. When sheโs not smoking gold-woven blunts, starting beef on Twitter, or accusing Miley Cyrus of stealing her culturally appropriated persona, Lil Debbie brattily raps about weed and haters and Michelle Obama over junky beats that maddeningly lodge themselves deep in my brain. And yours, too, maybe, if you go to her spectacle of a show. ROBIN EDWARDS
Apparently there’s a marathon happening today as well – and so much more.
