Fresh off of his withdrawal from the Republican race for the Presidency, former Pennsylvania Senator Rick Santorum offered his passionate endorsement for Marco Rubio yesterday. Rubio, the Florida Senator who finished third in Iowa on Monday, has been gaining momentum heading into next week’s New Hampshire primary, and the endorsement from Santorum was a boost for his campaign. However, on Thursday morning, Santorum was utterly unable to answer a direct question from Morning Joe‘s Joe Scarborough: “What do you list as Marco Rubio’s top accomplishment?”.

Remember when Republicans accused Barack Obama of being an untested, one-term senator with no significant accomplishments to speak of? That was then. In other Rubio news:

Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) has edged into second place in New Hampshire, though he still lags enormously behind billionaire Donald Trump, according to a University of Massachusetts-Lowell daily tracking poll, Thursday. The UMass-Lowell tracking poll, which releases daily results collating in-person interviews from the preceding three days, showed support for Rubio at 15 percent. This is part of a consistent upward trend in Rubio’s numbers since tracking began on Monday, when his support stood at 8 percent. This result also shows a surge in support for Rubio since his strong finish in Iowa.
