It’s still unclear whether the out-of-touch Seattle Times editorial board knows how to use the internet, but the paper’s newsroom staffers definitely do and they’re doing something pretty useful with that knowledge this week.
The Times is setting up Reddit AMAs with city council candidates. (AMA = Ask Me Anything. It’s basically an online Q&A session between Reddit users and famous or interesting people.)
Yesterday, District 5 candidates Sandy Brown and Debora Juarez answered questions. Today, it’s the two guys running for citywide Position 8: Tim Burgess, the city council president and one of the most powerful politicians in Seattle, and far-left tenant advocate Jon Grant. This is one of the most expensive and competitive races happening this year. And, no matter which part of the city you live in, you get to vote in this race.
