A reader recently sent me some pages ripped from a 1990 kids' book called Focus on Cocaine and Crack: A Drug-Alert Book. Somehow it made its way to an elementary school in Frankfurt.

It has this nice little map that looks slightly Indiana Jonesy.

But the best part is the end of chapter five, where the authors quote a cop who says the drug war is unwinnable.

"The answer has to be something else."
This, in a children's book from twenty years ago. It's a shame the rest of us haven't caught up yet.
