KING 5-SIZED MAYHEM! Tues 11/30 night, Hi路Score Arcade owner Beth Fell says she had a run-in with adrenaline- and testosterone-crazed KING 5 newshound Jim Forman -- she even filed police charges against the rowdy redhead! The KIRO-TV van had been in Hi路Score's private parking lot on Pine St, but property manager Beth shooed the newsies away when "they wouldn't cover the mass tear-gassing that was happening two feet away." As the KIRO crew exited, here comes the KING 5-mobile and a white mini-van. Beth says, "We blocked the entrance, but the news van pushed forward. A voice said, 'If you people don't get out of the way, you're gonna get hurt!' I looked around to see the shit-eating grin of Jim Forman (Howdy Doody?). I told him this was my parking lot, and we didn't want any more media around here. His face turned bright red and he got really aggro and started to yell, then called me a 'short bitch' and lunged at me. My friend Alex came to my rescue -- he got aggressive toward her, so she slapped his snotty little face!" Now that's sensational -- but it didn't show up on the TV news! (At press time, KING 5 hadn't responded to inquiries from The Stranger.) 路路路 Hi路Score was both a refuge and a nerve center that night, and there are plenty of amazing tales still to be told. SPEAKING OF NEWSIES, two new hotties emerged from last week's ruckus: manly lantern-jawed Q13 hunk Lowell Deo, and comely KIRO 7 pup Kyle Moore. Like her stationmate Kyle, KIRO's Meeghan Black was on fire, always in the thick of the action. I smell a news Emmy! KIRO's sensational (read: lurid) reporting was admirably co-anchored by the archly fabulous Penny LeGate; however, macho co-anchor Steve Raible lent a fascistic buzzkill quality to the proceedings (as noted in an irate letter in Sunday's Seattle Times).

TOURISTS: The WTO protests were too hard core for most celebs, but Dave says he spotted sexy ex-Mariner first baseman David Segui, "shopping bags in hand," watching the anti-WTO rally outside Niketown. 路路路 Also spotted, Jane Fonda ex Tom Hayden. The fiery hippie-turned-slackjawed-California-congressman offered a few bland words to KIRO TV cameras. 路路路 Chubby 'n' lovable populist agitator Michael Moore (Roger and Me, Bravo TV show The Awful Truth) appeared at WTO ground zero, right in front of the Paramount. When someone handed Moore a megaphone, he called upon the "evil" Michael Moore -- WTO president -- to come on out and change his name! Even though the "good" Mike wore a NY Yankees hat (grrr!), he was tremendously popular -- people slapped his back like he was an old pal.
