IndigeFolk Music Festival
DJ Big Rez hosts a show called the REZolution on Seattle’s Indigenous music radio station, which airs from the Daybreak Star Indian Cultural Center. This weekend, he’s bringing the jams out of the booth and into the sunlight at Victor Steinbrueck Park on the north end of Pike Place Market. The fest’s stacked lineup also includes Isaac Tonasket, who went viral for a guitar-plucking country song called “Boyz Don’t Cry,” traditional Coast Salish singing and dancing from the Blue Lightning Canoe Family, and country-rock rhythms from the Sober Junkie.
