…and oh my God, all you bitches are right, Shangela’s offstage existence is not appealing.

Nothing gold can stay.

  1. I was blown away by Yara Sofia. She transcends drag, taking it into the realm of performance art. Can you imagine a double billing of her with Dina Martina? Priceless!

  2. Shangela doesn’t seem to realize how awful she is coming off during those interviews. I’ve been so impressed with Raja and feel she should have won a lot of those challenges. She was robbed. I’ve always liked Manila, but after her Big Bird costume/dress and that lip sync for her life, I love her.

  3. Raja is a FASHION model, not a drag queen…she isn’t very good with the comedy.

    Yara for the win.

(I don’t think she will win, but she’d better win Miss Congeniality)

  4. I do like Raja except when she’s doing that ridiculous Heather crap. I have a theory about the big girls on the show. Anyone who has ever seen an actual drag show knows the big girls are made of comedic stone and could wipe the floors with the skinny queens. I think RuPaul picks the worst of the worst big girls for the show. No way any full figured drag queens I’ve ever seen would cave to insecurities like the ones on Drag Race.

  5. Delta and Raja are acquaintances of mine, so I’ve been rooting for them from the start. Actually Delta is really sweet and wonderful and it’s a shame she didn’t shine through very well on this show. Shangela is a mess, her “comedy” wasn’t that funny as she just acted like a fierce black lady. I believe we already have fierce black lady comics that fill that void. Besides, is that not as stereotypical as Manila “acting asian”? The best never wins anyway, but hopefully Raja will turn it out.
