The Confirmation‘s father (Clive Owen) is a troubled-but-decent ex-alcoholic who’s watching his rambunctious-but-perceptive son (Jaeden Lieberher), while mom (Maria Bello) goes away for the weekend to a Catholic marriage retreat with her new husband (Matthew Modine).
