There really hasn’t been a good lunch spot on the north end of Lake City since Deja Vu shut down its buffet.
Then this happened:

Yes, that’s right. There’s an Ezell’s in North Seattle. And they take credit cards.

hey I live near there! there has never been better news than this!
I love me some fried chicken. I dislove me some Ezell’s
Oh. Hell. Yes!!
news travels slow from lake city.
Do they serve up some of their famous homophobia with the chicken?
Wow, Jonah, after the slam piece you did on my neighborhood that was so rife with racism and hatred of the poor, I’m really deeply shocked that you’ve gotten near us scary minorities, though it is pretty fucking ironic it’s for fried chicken.
Actually, no, hold that: TWO slam pieces. It’s fun to lie about niggers, eh?
Oprah’s gonna be stoked!
dude there’s so much better shit to eat at up here in the north end.
Get the fuck off of Capitol Hill more than once a year. And yes i know you live in your moms basement in northgate but at least get out
sorry but some of us respect our bodies
Oh HELL yeah. I was so bummed that I missed out on Popeye’s in Tacoma on Monday (I went to Pt Defiance for my birthday), but now I get to bask in the glory of local fried bird right near my own backyard! YES! Bwahahahahaah….
Ezell’s doesn’t want me to buy food there. They only like customers who are monotheists.
Can’t afford to go.
I have to save up so I can buy Bumbershoot tix.
@8:
I lived in Lake City for four years, and aside from Toyoda Sushi, there wasn’t anything but crappy fast-food, and slightly-less-crappy taverns & diners.
Glad to hear things have improved.
EZELL’S ain’t all that, sorry to say. I was sorely disappointed when I finally tried it.
EZELL’S is in fact all that. Who knew that people could complain so much about an awesome local eatery?
@15:
It’s a corollary to Rule 34: “If it’s on the Internet, someone will complain about it.”
Try living in a city where your fried chicken choices are KFC and Popeye’s. Ezell’s has to be better than those.
Can’t eat chicken too much anymore as I developed some weird allergy to it a few years ago. I break out all over my arms if I eat enough. Still, I may get medicated and try it sometime just to give it a ride.
