Description: The Chieftain is a new neighborhood sports bar on Capitol Hill from the owner of McGilvra's and Finn MacCool's. Inside are plain white walls and lots of TVs, and though the space is broad, it's cramped with bodies. It gets loud—to communicate, you must shout the same thing over and over, so choose only quick and useful words. An essay on the menu explains the bar's name—a tribute to famous Irish leaders, their alliances, their imprisonments, their fighting of ancient wars. This translates to present day in the form of Irish-brand-beer mirrors, '90s pop hits, and fried coconut shrimp.

What else: Seattle University's legal fraternity hangs out here, so everywhere are law students, all of them looking so clean and grown-up in their formal business attire. You might as well chat up a few. One day they'll all be lawyers—maybe one of them yours, and maybe the only friend you've got. Especially with all the shit you've been pulling lately.
