Description: Belltown's Mestizo Tequila Lounge and Grill rests in the vast space formerly occupied by Twist. Inside, the decor is sophisticated and indistinct, with glossy tile frescoes, coordinating accent walls, and white leather booths. The window-lined dining room is crammed with views of Puget Sound, and on a Friday afternoon, a well-dressed couple watches sports on the luxury TV, saying quiet and pleasant things to each other. Nothing gets too dramatic or weird: No one is crying and singing, for instance, or throwing handfuls of ice at a topless stranger.

What else: Mestizo has 200 types of tequila (!), such as Jose Cuervo 250 Aniversario ($350/shot), Partida Elegante ($65), Chinaco Negro ($40), Mexican Moonshine ($20), Tarantula ($7), and Octane ($7). Why not try mixing some together?
