Seattle’s got a lot of fancied-up thin-crust pizza places, and a lot of them are really good. But if you want truly great pizza pie without having to wait an eternity for a table, without being surrounded by people who use the word “foodie,” and without emptying the contents of your wallet, just go to Italian Family Pizza downtown. It’s got cinder-block walls, red-and-white-checkered tablecloths, and a large pie for $22 that is way, way, WAY too big for two people to eat. Bonus: The actual Italian family that runs it is super-friendly in that inimitable East Coast way. (1206 First Ave, 538-0040, 11 am–8 pm)
