On Saturday night at 10 p.m., Witness on Broadway gets religion. Well, sort of—the Southern-styled bar is run by local veteran bartender Gregg Holcomb, and his sermons are fervent but agnostic. The very first one was about fornication (pro!). The second was on a woman’s place (anywhere, asshat!). The third had a carpe diem theme (especially when it comes to fornication!). Sometimes they’re more serious, about acting ethically or death. The book that Pastor Holcomb waves as he paces the place, sometimes shouting, is his leather-bound journal. Have a drink and holler amen. (Witness, 410 Broadway E, witnessbar.com, 10 pm)
