They’re marketing it as “The Hangover for women!!!!!!!!!!!!”—as though women were not allowed to see The Hangover because it didn’t have enough menses in it—but please don’t buy that shit. Bridesmaids is so much better than The Hangover that The Hangover doesn’t even deserve to be Bridesmaids‘ tampon (plus, it’s generally a bad idea to let Mike Tyson into your vagina). Directed by Paul Feig, the man who tempered Judd Apatow’s crueler tendencies to make Freaks and Geeks one of the best anythings of all time, Bridesmaids is both blisteringly funny and bursting with humanity.
