THURSDAY APRIL 25

SOUNDS OF OM

Uniting Souls and OM Records are bringing a new monthly party to Seattle, which means our spring is off to a good start. Tonight's featured DJ is Rithma, who has been showcased on several OM compilations as well as mix CDs by Mark Farina, Mark Grant, and Andy Caldwell, to name a few. JSN_DRUMFIRE of Afro-Mystik will also be on live percussion. The Baltic Room, 1207 Pine St, 625-4444.

FRIDAY APRIL 26

WE LOVE FRIDAYS

This is always a great way to start off your weekend if you want to have drinks with friends or check out some of your favorite local and touring house DJs. Resident DJ/promoter Chris Fields takes the name of this evening to heart and lets you know that it's quite all right to celebrate. Don't ya feel better already, little camper? The Corner Bar, Second and Virginia, 269-6388.

SATURDAY APRIL 27

PAPPA'S HOUSE

If you know Pappa then you know that this man has true love for the scene. Tonight the DJ/production duo the Lawnchair Generals, whose Viva! Records track is blowin' up all over the place, will be tag-teaming the funk with more precision than the Iron Sheik's "Camel Clutch." The Last Supper Club, 124 S Washington St, 748-9975.

INSOMNIA

This is Seattle's reigning after-hours champion. Every week after your favorite touring DJs finish a regular set around town you can usually catch them playing a set here. Three rooms of music, go-go dancers, fire twirlers, and that one guy who needs to get off the stage. The Bohemian, 111 Yesler Way, 227-1514, 2-8 am.

SUNDAY APRIL 28

GRAVITATE

Gravitate your ass down to Nation for this night's one-year anniversary of drum 'n' bass, downtempo, and broken beats with resident DJs Rama, Quazar, Zion.12, and Tamara. Nation, 1921 Fifth Ave, 374-9492.

MONDAY APRIL 29

NU PATTERNS

The Baltic Room has been consistently putting on nights that showcase the best of electronic music. Nu Patterns has been solid from the get-go, and the downtempo, nu jazz, and broken beats really complement the Baltic Room's intimate appeal. Hold me! The Baltic Room, 1207 Pine St, 625-4444.

TUESDAY APRIL 30

LIQUIFI

Every week the EMP brings in local and national DJs spinning breaks, techno, drum 'n' bass, and house. Cheap drink specials, a non-smoking environment, and the fact that there is no cover make this a pretty popular Tuesday-night destination. Liquid Lounge at the EMP, 325 Fifth Ave, 770-2702.

WEDNESDAY MAY 1

ROBO.TRASH

Calling all freakazoids to the dance floor. The Baltic Room, ORAC Records, and Zion's Gate put on a night of experimental live p.a. and DJ sets that is always a great way to kick your hump day right in its big ass. Past artists have included Gavin Froome, John Selway, and Jerry Abstract. It's time to get ROBO.trashed. The Baltic Room, 1207 Pine St, 625-4444.
