Greetings,

Im just writing to let you know that there is a new wave of young, energetic, educated (in academia and Seattle Hip-Hop), and musically skilled artists coming to the Seattle arts community.

Also......Im highly interested in seeing a BLACK STAX article/feature in the Stranger Magazine. I'm 34, and they have helped create the Seattle Hip-Hop scene. In fact they have been around since the 1980's. They are dope! I strongly feel that 70% of the top rated Seattle Hip-Hop artists lack understanding to the historical elements that have shaped this scene.

I am a local painter, community eucator, social worker in training, poet, MC, and singer. I have followed the Saettle arts community for years. I am also an ambassador for the community (music). It's not about me though.

I had a blast at the All City show last night.....I would have loved to see most of the artists mentioned there. Unfourtanetly I didn't.

How can we create a non-biased community that only responds to sound (not politics and payola/payoff)? Im asking because this scene belongs to the Seattle Youth.

Thank you for everything you do.

Cordially,

Random Writer

P.S........Shout out to Zach Tucker for holding us accountable (BUMP LOCAL).....
