Meat Beat Manifesto leader Jack Dangers has been ahead of his time since the late '80s. If his innovativeness has somewhat waned recently, his band still holds its own with some of the most adventurous future-bass producers working today. What makes MBM so interesting is Dangers's ability to fuse hiphop's rugged funk with dub's psychedelic spatial legerdemain and avant-garde composers' weird tonalities. The group's kaleidoscopic visuals match the maverick thrust of the music, resulting in uniquely disorienting beat bacchanals. (El CorazĂłn, 109 Eastlake Ave E, 262-0482, 8 pm, $15, 21+)
