The music video for Kendrick Lamar's song "DNA." was released today. In it, Don Cheadle lip syncs the first verse while administering a polygraph test on the rapper. Lamar, dressed in a fitted kung fu uniform, takes over at "See, you's a, you's a, you's a bitch, your hormones prolly switch inside your DNA," one of the many cruel lyrics this song yields for insulting foes, Fox News pundits, or whoever else.

Lamar leaves the interrogation room in time for the second verse, right at the song's beat switch, which is stone cold and arguably the highlight of "DNA."—if not all of DAMN. We get a gritty montage of girls in cars, paparazzi, and a cameo by ScHoolboy Q, among other images.

In line with the kung fu theme, the video features a few Chinese characters. My mother helped me translate: '功夫肯尼' means "Kung Fu Kenny," which is one of Kendrick Lamar's alter egos. '的家庭' refers to his family, not necessarily (or limited to) his literal one. '顶级狗娱乐' refers to Top Dawg Entertainment, which is his label. It makes sense; I'm not sure what else I was expecting.

If you were already listening to "DNA." on repeat, now you can watch it on repeat instead.
